So many of us want to live a greener life, but need to be steered in the right direction. Green Road Refill’s mission is to help pave the way to a more sustainable lifestyle for our customers.

We are so grateful to have our storefront in the heart of Brewster!  Green Road Refill first started as a mobile business in May of 2018, offering a retail and refill experience promoting natural & earth-conscious products for a better body, home, and planet.

Traveling from one Cape Cod town to the next we believe we can make a difference by reducing our community's“plastic footprint” one bottle at a time.

our evolution

Back in 2017, when I had my original dream of owning an earth friendly store dedicated to reducing Cape Cod’s plastic footprint, the reality soon set in after crunching some numbers on how hard it would be to take on the overhead of a brick and mortar store.

So after some brainstorming, I came up with the idea to start a mobile business – hence the name Green Road Refill. My family and I had a blast putting in the elbow grease and creativity it took to convert a retired school bus (A.K.A. Bettie Bus, named in honor of my Grandmother who taught me how to drive) into a little store on wheels. Decked out in her Lorax theme, Bettie had two good years introducing Cape Cod to the world of refill by visiting farmers markets across the Cape. Then the dreaded Covid-19… it was nearly impossible to socially distance inside good old Bettie so we decided to retire her.

While in quarantine making deliveries and waiting for the 2020 market season to begin, I had the vision of creating a towable open air market shed inspired by the old time traveling snake oil-medicine man buggies. My husband Justin and I built Sally Sud Shed together that spring and I’m happy to report that she and I  just got off to our third season together visiting Wellfleet, Orleans and Falmouth Farmers Markets weekly and making other stops along the way.

Having created a loyal refill community my original dream of having a brick and mortar store came true in November of 2021.  Nestled in the heart of Brewster, you’ll find our sweet little store making it more convenient for customers to find us and reduce their plastic footprint.  I’ve also partnered with my friend Tarraza who makes the most wonderful all natural refillable soy candles and to my benefit I am able to invite so many of the amazing local makers, and artists I’ve  met on my journey into the shop as well as supporting fair trade gifts too.

Hope to see you on the Green Road soon!

Loving this shop! What started out as a business on a bus, has grown into this amazing store in Brewster! You can feel good about shopping here and helping the environment!

I found Green Road Refill to be a welcoming place to explore what small changes I could make to decrease my dependence on plastics. I also purchased some unique gifts made from recycled materials. Fun store to visit!

Adorable shop with so many products to help reduce your carbon footprint. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, patiently answering my questions.

I am only one.  But still, I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.
